Spriha, the CanSat crew from the Astrophysics Club of Sardar Patel Institute of Technology!

Our voyage began with a mutual desire to explore the frontiers of space technology. Established within the prestigious institute, we proceeded on this adventurous journey to design and manufacture completely functional miniature satellites encased in a soft drink can.

Our aim is centered on participating in the annual International CanSat competition, which is organized by the American Astronautical Society (AAS) in partnership with NASA. This competition is our ultimate testbed, allowing us to demonstrate our capabilities in conceptual design, integration, testing, and operational elements of our CanSat.

  • Preliminary Design analysis (PDR): This phase entails delivering a thorough analysis of our first design thoughts, laying the groundwork for the succeeding stages.
  • Critical Design Review (CDR): Here, we offer the final design that exemplifies our unique solutions and technological prowess.
  • Post-Flight Reviews (PFR): The PFR, the apex of our trip, is the completion of our efforts as we see the launch of our CanSat in the United States. It's a source of pride to see our work soar to new heights and achieve its mission objectives.
